Students practice skills at Samoa sports day

Jul 01, 2011

APTC Samoa students made use of the bi-annual Sports Day to practice their skills. Country Manager Ms Julie Kean said that not only was the day great fun and good exercise, but the students also practiced their skills in working in teams and organising events.

"All students and staff participated enthusiastically in the mid-March event, which included old favorites such as a wheelbarrow race, three-legged race, and the egg and spoon race. Also included were "newer" favorites such as blind volleyball and picking the bone," said Ms Kean.

The red team was victorious and was awarded the APTC STH trophy for their efforts.

APTC is an Australian Government initiative in partnership with the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

APTC is implemented by TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275)
