Course Overview

APTC delivers quality Plumbing training to suit industry needs. The 11054NAT Certificate II in Plumbing Services course is designed to provide participants with a range of foundations and introductory knowledge, and skills to gain exposure to the plumbing industry and pathways into a range of construction industry vocational programs.

 

Graduates of this qualification will demonstrate knowledge and skills required to work in entry level roles within the plumbing sector of the construction industry and to undertake further education pathways in plumbing and construction.  Plumbing technician; Construction apprentice; Plumbing apprentice.

 

Graduates of this course will receive an internationally recognised Australian Qualification issued through TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275).

Course Delivery

Location: Samoa

Duration: Course duration is 15 weeks full time plus one-week mid-semester break. Students will attend classes for a minimum of 5 days per week. Additional out-of-hours study time will be required.

Delivery Mode: Face-to-face and work placement. Training will be delivered in English and incorporates language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) support. 

Vocational Placement: As part of this qualification, students are required to complete 80 hours of vocational placement. This will be organised by APTC and are to be completed within the plumbing industry.  It is an opportunity for students to practise the skills and knowledge learnt in a supported environment. Completing placement is compulsory, and students will be expected to manage family and work commitments in order to complete their shifts.

Course Fees: The course fee is WST 2,500. The fee includes personal protective equipment, stationery and uniform. View current fees.

Entry Requirements

  • Citizen of a Pacific Island Forum country
  • Complete the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment 

Applicants may apply for recognition of prior learning.
