The Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Youth Challenge Vanuatu (YCV), a leading youth organisation in Vanuatu. This partnership signifies the Australian Government’s continued commitment to strengthening inclusive and sustainable community development in Vanuatu.

The MoA outlines a collaborative effort between APTC and YCV to enhance access to training and qualification pathways, support the delivery of quality foundation skills training programs, and empower national trainers.

The partnership will also focus on addressing cross-cutting priorities such as gender equality, disability, and climate resilience, aligning with both organisations’ commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.

“At APTC, we are dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills they need to thrive in today’s economy and contribute to the prosperity of their communities,” said APTC Country Director for Vanuatu and Nauru, Nicholas Venables.

“Through this partnership with Youth Challenge Vanuatu, we aim to harness the potential of Vanuatu’s youth and empower them to become agents of positive change in their society.”

YCV, renowned for its impactful youth livelihood and leadership programs, brings to the partnership a deep understanding of the local context and a proven track record of youth empowerment initiatives.

Leveraging APTC’s expertise in vocational education and training, the two organisations are poised to significantly improve the lives of young people across Vanuatu.

“We are excited to partner with APTC in our shared mission to empower Vanuatu’s youth and build a brighter future for our nation,” said the Chairman of Youth Challenge Vanuatu, Narand Jag Beerbul.

“This collaboration represents a powerful opportunity to expand the reach and impact of our programs, ensuring that more young people have access to the skills and opportunities they need to succeed.”

The MoA between APTC and YCV underscores their shared vision: empowering Vanuatu's youth and fostering sustainable community development. By combining their expertise, APTC and YCV will equip young Vanuatu citizens with the skills and support they need to thrive, paving the way for a brighter national future.

APTC is an Australian Government initiative in partnership with the Pacific and Timor-Leste.
