Certificate III in Engineering (Fitting & Machining)

"Studying at APTC has brought us Pacific Islanders together and I have made close friends with fellows from different Pacific Island countries"  are the sentiments of Butonga Maninraoi who fondly remembers his experience while studying at APTC.

Butonga, from Kiribati, graduated with Certificate III in Engineering (Fitting & Machining) in 2013. After completing his studies at APTC, Butonga was offered a post of Automotive Trainer at a local Institute by Austraining International.  He later completed, through APTC, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment which is a requirement for trainers within the Australian VET standard.

Currently he is studying Automotive Technology at TAFE South Australia Regency Campus through a fellowship award from Austraining International.

In his own words:

"All these study offers would never have come along without having an Australian APTC qualification in the first place."

"APTC have impacted a lot in my career path.  With my technical skills, I never thought of becoming a lecturer. Now with a teaching career, I’m focusing on my students to make sure they get the right skills and qualification."

"I encourage my fellow APTC graduates to seek for opportunities as they will never know what they can achieve with their APTC qualification and be helpful people for their family, community and country."
