Automotive graduate proud with skills

Joe Temin has just completed his last training block for on the Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical in PNG and has been employed with GFS Fleet & Maintenance Port Moresby as a motor mechanic.

‘My name is Joe Temin and I am a motor Mechanic by profession. I have been in the field for more than 20 years and I have a lot of experience on all makes and models of PNG vehicles. I am specialised in engine rebuilding and diagnostics for brake and clutch systems.

I have just finished my fourth block of training with the Australia - Pacific Technical College and now hold a Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical. I will be attending the APTC graduation in December and my family will be so very proud of my successful completion of Australian qualification.’

Roslyn Magalu the APTC to Work Tutor in PNG said, ‘Joe applied and was successful for an automotive mechanic position with the GFS Fleet & Maintenance Company in Port Moresby. The foreman of this very large trucking and mechanical repair company was very impressed with his skills and knowledge achieved during his study with the APTC.’

Joe said, ‘I feel confident that I can take on this new job with all the excellent APTC training behind me.’

APTC is an Australian Government initiative in partnership with the Pacific and Timor-Leste.
