Fiji Rugby Seven's player visits APTC

Jan 06, 2012

The Nadi Office had a surprise a visit from a Digicel Fiji Sevens player. Nikola Matawalu, was in Nadi for personal commitments and paid a visit to the APTC Corporate and Student Services office. His visit almost brought the office to a halt. Sevens rugby crazed fans within the office scrambled for photos with the 2012 HSBC Hong Kong Sevens Best Player of the Tournament.

Mr Matawalu recounted his story of accepting the award said that he never in the slightest thought he would be chosen Player of the Tournament as he was not even nominated! He marches into camp this week in preparation for another lag of the HSBC Sevens World Series. He represents the team as a half-back.

We would like to thank the Fiji Sevens team for such a splendid performance in Hong Kong and Japan. And we would like to thank Mr Matawalu for indulging the Nadi Office Staff with photo opportunities. This will definitely become part of our personal and corporate brag book!

APTC is an Australian Government initiative in partnership with the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

APTC is implemented by TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275)
