Professional development for APTC Trainers

Aug 19, 2011

As a part of their professional development plan, to increase knowledge of industry trends and products and to maintain vocational competence, APTC Trainers Mr Stewart Bermann and Ms Janine McLeod attended a Winemakers Dinner at V, the signature restaurant of Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa.

A special degustation menu was prepared by Executive Chef Brendan Coffey to complement the Yalumba Wines that were featured that evening, with special guest, Mr Tim Herrmann, Yalumba Wines Regional Sales Manager Asia-Pacific in attendance.

Mr Bermann said that during the evening, Chef Coffey spoke about the food, and Mr Hermann, and Mr Liam Hindle of Victoria Wines in Fiji, talked about the wine selections accompanying the food.

"There was certainly time and a great deal of effort put into the evening to ensure that the wines and food presented complemented each other. Definitely a night to remember, and certainly one to book into next time," said Mr Bermann.

It is essential for APTC Trainers to keep in touch with their core business and the latest industry developments in order to continue the delivery of up-to-date and industry-relevant courses.

APTC is an Australian Government initiative in partnership with the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

APTC is implemented by TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275)
