APTC donation to PNG Hospice

Jun 03, 2011

Staff at the APTC Campus in Papua New Guinea recently donated mattresses to the Bethany Hospice.

The Hospice is managed by the Franciscan Order, and provides care and shelter to support children under the age of six who are HIV positive.

"The mattresses were being replaced as part of the normal lifecycle replacement of assets," explained APTC Manager Western Division Mr Morrie WIntringham.

Mr Wintringham said that the decision to donate the still useable mattresses to the notable local charity group went through the APTC approval process.

APTC is an Australian Government initiative in partnership with the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

APTC is implemented by TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275)
