Course Overview

BSB42615 Certificate IV in New Small Business is for small business owners wishing to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to take their business to the next level.

Graduates of this course will receive an internationally recognised Australian Qualification issued through TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275).

Course Delivery

Location: Fiji

Duration: Training will be provided part time through nine monthly workshops (see schedule below).  

Workshop attendance is expected from 8:30am till 4:30pm daily. In addition to the workshops an optional weekly tutorial will be provided to support participants to complete assessment requirements. It is expected that participants will commit up to 10 hours per week of their own time to complete assessment tasks.

Delivery Mode: Face to face. Training will be delivered in English and incorporates language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) support.

Mentoring Support: In partnership with the Australian Business Volunteers, each course participant will receive business mentoring throughout the course. The mentor will work with the business owner to provide individualised support to develop the business to the next level.

Course Fees: Tuition fees will be waived for eligible participants.



Entry Requirements

  • Women, citizen of a Pacific Island Forum country
  • Applicants must already be operating a small business and wish to further develop the business
  • Complete the Literacy and Numeracy Assessment and Vocational Knowledge Assessment
  • It is preferable that applicants have already completed the YES programme delivered through ABV or other basic business training

Applicants may apply for recognition of prior learning.
